FED 3 film leader question

Hi!

I recently bought a FED 3 from ebay, which will arrive soon (hopefully).
I read an article about the special Leica film leaders (link to the article ) and I was wondering if this applies to the FED 3 too.
Do I have to cut the film leader with the FED 3 similar to the screw mount Leicas or can I use the normal today film leader?

No you dont, just load it normally.

As far as I know this "leica leader" applies only to bottom loaders.

I was just a bit irritated by the article saying that this applies to ALL screwmount cameras.

May be they meant all Leica screwmount?

Fed 3 is nice. I just got one too. Having trouble adjusting RF though, I am not so good with that.

I bet it's the close focus adjustment isn't it? hours of tears with a tiny pair of pliars... I know! 🙁

You can even load the FED-3 with film without a shaped leader. Those with removable takeup spools will take untrimmed film (such as those loaded from bulk) like the Leica M3.
