Fed-5 light leak - should I paint the curtain, and with what?

I recently got back a roll shot with a pristine looking Fed-5 rangefinder, with an Industar 61 L/D 2.8/55. To my dismay, the photos were mostly marred by light leaks. Some of the leaks are just a light haze in the lower left, and others are distinct bright "stars".

When I examined the curtains, they looked ok. There were a few tiny white specks or spots, which to my untrained eye did not look like obvious pinholes. Pointing the camera at a light to see whether more light could be seen at those tiny points did not help. Were those holes or just tiny white marks on the curtain material? I couldn't tell from eyeballing.

If those tiny spots are leaks, I assume the damage to the photos occurs over time, while that frame of film is in the film plane, behind the leaky section of curtain, either before or after taking the shot.

My plan is to paint the curtains with some sort of appropriate paint. I would welcome suggestions as to what I should get.

Here are some of the photos, on my Flickr site:

Leaks from the back?

Leaks from the back?

The camera was in the case at all times.

It sounds like some of the leaks (the hazing) may be from the back, not the curtains.
