I've been trying to clean the glass of my FED 50 (like the Ind 22/50?) and to free the aperture ring. Followed the guide http://jay.fedka.com/index_files/Page325.htm and disassembled. Ended up with the lens block including apertue ring in one piece out of the barrel of the lens. As I wanted to clean and regrease the aperure ring I took out the two screws which hold the ring and removed the ring. A quick clean and regrease of the ring and lens block and ready to put it back on. But...the threaded holes in the block, those which are behind the two long slits, have gone. The aperture blade assy looks to be sprung, when the screws are removed the ring inside springs up moving the holes away from the slits, can't get the screws in! How can the lens/aperure assy be stripped further to allow the fixing of this ring? Anyone had a go at this?
