fed1 dismantling take up spool

In disassembling my fed1 bottom loader, I also dismantled the take up spool. With the spring at the top of the spindle, that is secured with two screws. Now, I have no idea how exactly to put that spring back. There are lots of pictures and drawings on the Web, but none for that part!

Any advice?
