Hello!

For removing the shutter (for CLA) of the FED2 do I need to unscrew the lensholding thread too or is this different on the bodys separating (I mean contrary to the Zorki-1 and FED-1 where you can't remove the back of the body)?

What oil would you use for lubing? I have some oil for sawingmachines.

Eugen, to remove the shutter crate, you must take out the four screws in front, and the two retaining screws on the top part of the upper plate.

The crate - when all the pertinent parts like the shutter speed disc, etc, have been removed- should go off without removing the lens mount flange.
But it is better to remove the shutter crate and the retainers where the attaching screws bolt on. The retainers may make it difficult to for you to put the crate back when you try to line up all the parts together.

Oiling? I also use sewing machine oil / 3-in-1 oil on the fast moving gears. Dilute it 1 part oil and 1 part lighter fluid/naphtha.

If you're going to work on the shutter, and dismantle it in the process, oil the spring-loaded rollers as well. Take the rollers apart by turning their covers off. Clean the reeled springs with lighter fluid, and brush them lightly with oil before sealing the rollers back.
