I want to present a beautiful (??) FED5b with an external light meter to a friend.
I use a Gossen lunasix meter, and I don't have a selenium meter.
For this gift I think that an old (but fully functional) selenium meter is perfect
I think it will be a Weston, but I really don't know Weston models.
Which one?
Are there more suggestions about Soviet meters?
I'm waiting for suggestions and than I'll dig in ebay
Thanks!

Carburo, I think Weston V (five) is the best, apart from Weston Ranger (which can be expensive, and which uses a battery!).
After that, a Weston IV (4), and Weston III (3).
Weston 3 is nice, but the dial is a bit too crowded for me, and the numbers are too tiny...
Weston V is your best bet, provided it's fully functional.
Also, check out http://www.westonmaster.com if you haven't done so already. Lots of useful info.

Just want to add: The Weston II that I got for $5 is in perfect working condition, the old Westom scale that it used should not be a put-off. I use the ASA value directly for good results. The Weston rating of the old films was probably better than Kodak. The Weston II is metal, unlike my Weston 715 and Weston 650 that I also use, and are accurate.
Make sure that you get one that has been kept in its case; it preserves the cell.

Re: FED5 as a gift + light meter
If you’re giving a FED you have to have a 'Soviet' meter to go with it
For me of all the different models the Leningrad 2 is the winner, very cool looking and between mine and friends we have about 6 or 7 of them and they all work fine, no duds (all ebay out of Russia). You can get a nice one in a box with a leather case for under $15USD 'BIN' without much trouble.
Here is one of mine with a Z5. Good luck

Are the Leningrad 2 a incident or reflective meter?

All the Leningrad meters (I think) come with a white plastic filter for doing incident readings, the leather case has a sliding clip to hold it when not in use. I have only used mine in reflective mode. While I have used most of my Soviet meters at some time I now use a Gossen Digiflash meter almost exclusively when out with my Ruskies unless I’m feeling a bit nostalgic

That is a beautiful Zorki. And I'm gonna have to get one of those Leningrads.
