I once bought generic film in North Carolina (Home 360) at Food Lion, and found out later that it was repackaged Ferrania film. After doing some color darkroom work with images from the film, I want more of the same film.

I am located in New York City. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on Ferrania film in this area or by ordering it online?

I hear it might also be repackaged as Agfaphoto Vista. I specifically want the 200ASA brand. I also read one person who believed Lomography brand negative film is repackaged Ferrania. Could anyone confirm this?

It is Kroger store brand, or at least it was a year ago. It's seriously crappy film, but if you like the effect, hey cool.

Check the country of origin on the package. If it says "Italy" then it is Ferrania.

No idea, but it sounds a tad fishy. Check the country of origin. If it says "Germany" then it is new old stock Agfa (they put a lot of master rolls in deep freeze prior to shutting down). If it says "Italy"...

I wrote to them here about a year ago and they replied quickly. If you can't buy it locally, they will sell it to you via mailorder. Or at least they would a year ago.

Thanks, yes, it has a slight "crappy" look as you say, but the way the color renders (both yellow, high contrast, and saturated), it has a vintage look that I haven't encountered. I like it a lot.

I just called the office of the site you listed. They say I can purchase the film at Duane Reade in New York, but Duane Reade will discontinue it soon. In the future, they say I can buy 100 rolls of 24 exposure from them for $3.49 per roll.

That isn't bad for me. 100 rolls will last!

I exaggerated the yellow in this shot, but not by a lot.
Ferrania!

Well, check out the local grocery stores for rebranded film. If it says it was made in Italy, you know it's Ferrania. Could save you some bucks. I can get it locally (Kroger) for a couple bucks per roll, or at least I could last year.

I know they were selling 110 cartridges filled with Ferrania.

Another Ferrania fan here - I particularly like the saturation of the 100 speed. I'm still using up the last of my stock from when the local Kroger locations were closing it out.

I've seen bricks show up on eBay occassionally, and my local Rose's department store has some 200 right now.

Good luck!

I believe "Solaris" is another marketing name in the US for rebranded Ferrania.

I have a roll in an OM right now. I bought mine at The Bargain Shop, which is a Canadian chain like Big Lots on the states. It was under $2CDN, and looked like a regulaly stocked item. If it can't be found in the US, I could probably import some and ship.

I appreciate the offer. I'll order online through the link above for now.

The closest I could find to NYC are Kroger stores around Philadelphia. If you are ever in Pennsylvania, look for them.

Anyone know a good place to buy Ferrania in Canada... Giant Tiger used to stock it but don't anymore.. I really love this film and it doesn't look like I can get it from Freestyle anymore 🙁

Kroger in the USA isn't stocking ANY film anymore. No more House Brand film. Has anyone called the Ferania facility in Oklahoma? Find out if anyone is home?

Would you care to read it before you shoot down a post?
