File transfer question regarding M8

This one puzzles me. I have my camera set to DNG only. When I plug the USB cable and transfer files, I get 2 identical files for each image. Anyone have the same experience?

Related question: how can I instruct C1 NOT to download ALL files from the SD card but only pick and choose the photos I want?

By not having C1 doing that, but transferring your DCIM folder to your harddisk yourself and opening from there.
