Film Advance jam

I own a R2a. The film advance is jamming around mid roll (20-24). I am able to force it for a couple of rolls. then it gives up the ghost. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

I had a similar problem with my Bessa R, it started with overlapping frames.

I removed the baseplate. Everything was in place, but the big black screw in the axis of the advance mechanism had come loose a bit. I tightened that and now everything is working fine. Be careful, don't force the camera. Hope that helps and good luck.
