Film cleaning

Hello friends, I have a problem with Kodak 400TX film, I prefer a company that has extensive experience reveal my rolls of film, but now maybe they changed their staff and my black and white rolls have left stained. I want to clean them but I do not know how.

Some of you have idea how to clean the rolls of film again? either by immersing the film in a liquid solution or something ...

But try give it a light rub with a negative cleaning cloth, or rather just try a microfiber one.

Can't see the marks. Appear to be very dense negatives even around the edges.

Do you know what made the stains? If the emulsion went moldy or bacteria got to it, I doubt if there is much you can do. Did you try washing the film, as if you had just developed it?

Edwal makes a negative cleaner, and I recall Freestyle has that brand or another, maybe. If the marks are on the surface of the film, only, especially the backing, not the emulsion, it won't be too bad. Is the emulsion swollen at the staining? A slanting light would reveal this, maybe.

B&H has Edwal neg cleaner. I was on their web site last night. Hope this helps.

I would wash the film in running water for 10 minutes or so, then put the film in a tray and gently wash it with Kodak Photoflo diluted 1:200 for a few minutes, then hang it to dry. If that doesn't do it, then I would go with the Edwal stuff and gently rub at the stains with a wetted q-tip. If that didn't do it, I would give up, and just fix the stain digitally.

I wash it with pure water, he took a bath for 10 minutes and will not go away, actually took a long time to dry the film ...

When I see the film with a 10x loupe I can not see the stains, but when I scan the film does, and is not an error because I tried to scan with another scanner and stains also appear.

If you don't have photoflo, try a tiny bit of dishwasher detergent. It's almost the same stuff.
