Archival quality polypropylene or polyethylene negative, print and slide sleves / preservers. Made by Savage, Vue All, Print File ...

Negative or glassine sleeves is what you'd have to be searching for. In German, "Negativhüllen" or "Pergaminhüllen".

Don't pay too much, there are some on ebay for prices considerably higher than new. They can still be got new for little more than 10€/100 for the most basic all-paper type or around 40-50€ for the clear glassine ones, half paper/half glassine and PP (Clearfile) in between these two, and stiff plastic presentation sleeves somewhere above. Most German mail order dealers (e.g. Fotoimpex, Macodirekt, Nordfoto) have them.

Why would you get them from eBay?

I am sure the B&H-ones are great quality and reasonable priced:

Probably great quality, but nothing B&H is reasonably priced by the time it hits the European shore. What with B&H going the usual route of US dealers and shipping Fedex overseas, and Fedex charging the heck out of the receiver for customs processing, you can mark up all B&H prices by another $100-150 for shipping, handling and customs (on the shipping charges) even for a $1 item.

That's fair.

But, just as a heads up

I did a comparison between B&H and German and uk-based stores with a larger order of films (in my case that's 20-30 films).

With B&H, I actually saved around $100 when shipping + local vat was added to the total. ($40-50 with UPS to Norway).

Getting stuff from Germany and the UK is pretty expensive to Norway as well you see ^^

Try making 3 similar orders on a few stores (use excel), sometimes you can save a lot.

I would not order archival stuff from eBay in any case, would be bad if you got some low-end Chinese stuff or something 🙂

Take a look at the Printfile 35-7B archival negative storage sheets.

They hold 7 rows of 5 negatives (or unmounted chromes) for the 35mm format. When I have an extra neg or two left over, I put those in with one of the other five rows of negs. I have never had a scratched/damaged neg or chrome as a result of doing this.

For 120/220 format, you want the Printfile 120 4-B pages.

These will hold one roll of 120 size negatives. Both the 35-7B and the 120-4B sheets fit a standard archival ring binder negative storage box or a three ring binder that takes 8.5"x11" notebook paper.

B&H photo in New York City stocks Printfile products as do most photography retailers of any size.
