Film usage increasing?

For a while now I've kept a record of my film usage on a spreadsheet, and I noticed that today I have just exceeded my total film usage for the whole 2007 - and there's still just over half of 2008 remaining.

Last year I used 78 films (both MF and 35mm) - today I shot my 79th film of 2008 to date (a roll of Adox CHS50 on my new R3a)

I'm not purposely seeking to beat personal records, but do others find there is a correlation between the visits to forums such as this, the purchase of new equipment and the volume of film used?

I think certainly that hanging around here will increase your film use. I KNOW it will increase your gear acquisition.

I don't find that my presence on the forum increases my film usage. If I have a choice, I'm out shooting instead of reading or posting here. That's when my film usage goes up. Now, gear acquisition, that's another story.

I'll bring film use and gear acquisition together. The more cameras I have the more film I use. I have around twenty film cameras, I try to run a roll though each one each year. This doesn't seem like much but it seem like I always have 3 cameras loaded.
