Hi

I've got an M-Rokkor 40mm and my Zenza Bronica 75mm.

I don't want to buy filters (red and polariser) for both so I was going to buy a 62mm to 40.5mm adapter. So I can use my Bronica filters on my Rokkor.

Is there any negatives to this?

Thanks

GW

The idea is OK, the application will not be one step up filter that I know of. I think you will have to go in steps. I would suspect three different step up filters at least. One from 40.5 to 49 or 52, the 49 or 52 to 58, then to 62. At least you will have something of a lens hood. :p

You may have a tough time finding one step-up ring that covers 40.5 to 62. More likely you'll need at least 2 rings - 40.5 to 52 and 52 to 62, or something like that. Also, 40.5 rings, filters and other accessories seem to be less common than other sizes, like 39, so you may have to do some Google or eBay searching to find what you need.

Only downside I can think of is putting a 62 filter on your M-mount RF lens may intrude into your VF image.

Good Luck!

With the 62mm filter on the front of the stack it may be prone to flare. It's most likely to intrude quite a bit on the finder.
If you have a 62mm filter, just hold it in front of your lens to get an idea.
