This may be a really dumb question but I recently got the CV 35/2.5 Skopar and have not been able to find a filter for it that would allow me to also mount the CV hood it came with. I have tried a Hoya, Tiffen, B+W and they all seem too "fat". I wonder which specific filter(s) I can use with the hood? I'd appreciate any and all advice.

are you taking the hood off and then attaching the filter?
i have cheaper bower filters, a leica uv and a b+w on my cv lenses with problems.

Double threaded filters. Some new ones do not have the female thread outside which is used to attach the hood.

Right, the PII (M-mount). I am taking the hood off before screwing in the filter. So far every filter I've tried interferes with the spring-like "teeth" on the inside of the hood. The smallest diameter filter I have tried is a couple of microns (it seems) fatter than the outer diameter of the lens..ferider said:I think Andy is talking about the PII.
Roland, do you perhaps recall which specific filter model/number you used on this lens?

I use a B&W too and all is well. The normal hood needs to be taken off, the filter screwed in and then the hood screwed in around it into the same thread that it was screwed into before.
If you're on about the Pancake or PII then I have no idea
