What a beautiful design for that 50/1.5, so different from all the other Voigtlander

I would assume that it uses the same optics as the M39 mount version, and that they only put it in a new body. The old 50/1.5 was fantastic, so I see no reason why this shouldn't be.
Maybe Stephen knows something more?
Today is the first day of CP+, the annual photographic industry expo here in Japan. I suppose the new CV lenses were announced there!

Very interesting styling on the Nokton. Very reminiscent of the vintage (1950s) LTM Nokton 50/1.5

Very nice indeed, ballsy design, would look great on a M3 or the like. Very impressive.

Indeed, see here: http://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20130131_585912.html
It seems the body design is a quotation of the rare 50/1.5 that was made in M39 mount in the 50ies, compare http://www.cameraquest.com/vgtnok.htm

I have and love the LTM version and normally don't get too excited by M mount versions of CV LTM's but this may be an exception. What a beauty in chrome.

What a bloody stupid design for a focussing ring.

I would love a very good 50mm f/1.4.
Not sure I like the focus ring (looks nice, but I'm not sure how it behaves in real life)
I think I see a 0.8 on the focus ring. It may focus down to 0.7, or maybe only to 0.8...
anyway, a long waited lens (with the Zeiss 2013 elusive creature)

That chrome 50 mil Nokton is the cat's meow !
It sure looks nice.
It would look extremely good on a Leica IIIf if it was ever made in LTM.

That's a wrap!
If they managed to make it somewhat smaller, that would be great.
It is pretty much one of the best 50s out there regardless of manufacturer.

Ahhh shucks! I already have three 50's, two of which are faster than this, but you can't have too many 50's.

Swank! I think the chrome lens looks great. Classic: want but don't need. - Ben

I thought I was through with buying lenses for now but ..... the chrome Nokton really gets my GAS going. Besides, I haven't bought anything from Stephen in a long time.
