First attempt at digital lith

Having some post-christmas fun playing with digital lith effects in Photoshop, based on the approach outlined in Advanced Digital Black & White Photography by John Beardsworth (recommended). Lots of dodging in the attached, high contrast, peach tint to highlights and exaggerated contrast and film grain in the shadows. Photo is a hill on 11th St NW WDC, shot with my 40D/35f2.0.

Quite intriguing...

Well, based on your recommendation for the book and the positive reviews on Amazon, I've just ordered myself a copy!

sounds cool, but I'm not seeing what you're describing in the image. I'm sure it is supposed to be subtle, but could you upload the original for a comparison, or provide a little more information? I'll take a look at the book online, maybe that'll help (RTFM).

p.s. I think the clouds look fabulous!
