M8 + Nokton 50mm f1.1 all @ 1.1

Hmmm... not quite to my taste. The burnt-out highlights and flare are too much for me, not that I blame the lens, a 1.1 lens is not built to be shot smack into the sun wide open. Anyway, it is good to see you are enjoying your new aquisitions.🙂

nice work. i like the fourth, fifth, and last ones most. good with with the nokton, too. i wasn't sure if it was nocti 50 or lux 50 or what ...

Camping?

Camping?

I agree with jaapv, I am not an admirer of blown highlights, even your f4 shot. You may want to try bracketing to dial in your exposure. I also agree to have fun with this combo.

Now as to camping./? Pavement, a lack of tents, and a built in fire pit? Looks almost like an all inclusive vacation. You're from Oregon, you should know better?😀

The Beamer is OK though, I am in Tacoma, and I get to the campsite in a Mercedes.😉

Just have fun and shoot a LOT more.

Theses are the best Nokton 50/1.1 shots I've seen yet. Very nice work. These are also very compelling M8 shots. The more blown highlights the better.

Artorious: the campsite was very generic, not real camping. but that's all my friend's and I had time for as we all had work the next morning haha. just a fun day at the coast with cheap "housing". I hope to do some "real camping" soon before i got back to school. Thank you for the feedback also.

Mister E: Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it, i'm working on doing more portrait type work in addition to my film/street stuff. I think this M8/50mm f1.1 & my 90mm f2 are the perfect tools for what im aspiring to do.

I have to find a solar charger so I can bring the digital M on a real camping trip. Anyone know anything?

Photographs look good, too bad it's with that old M8 with it's cropped sensor and rapid depreciation value. Those are the only problems I see 😉
