Hi everyone,
I bought a black Konica hexar from Ebay last week and thought i would share my first shots with it.
The camera is great but to be honest i prefer an SLR simply because of being able to view what you are shooting. I find the rangefinder style viewfinder not as nice as seeing through the lens.
Anyway here are the photos

Nice photos, sorry that you're disappointed. Rf's don't work for everyone, I too prefer SLR's as I focus with them far easier, though that wouldn't be an issue with the Hexar.

Yes the Konica focuses very well and very quickly!

Just remember that for closeups, because of parallax error, the focal point is slightly to the right of the crosshairs. Be suspicious if the framelins dont move significantly for a closep, if they dont you are likely focusing on an object behind the intended subject,

I miss my Hexar.

I prefer SLR's usually too, but grew tired of lugging heavy/largish cameras. A rangefinder offers smaller size and less weight, and usually excellent lesses, so it's all a trade off. Most people use both for different things.

nice pictures! i have been thinking about this cam for some time myself. only price has prevented the impulse purchase. obviously, the quality seems to match its reputation.
i too prefer slr's, though i always find it interesting that so many rf users cite smaller lighter characteristics of rf rig vs slr as a big factor in their decision. i have a rollei rf35, and when coupled with my summitar 50/1.4 it is both larger and heavier than my contax aria/zeiss planar 50/1.4 or even smaller zeiss tessar 45/2.8, fuji 605/takumar 50/1.4 or konica tcx/40/1.8! the konica rig especially is the lightest and smallest of any interchangeable lens film cam ive ever seen or held.
typically i agree slr rigs are unwieldy, but good quality small rigs are out there, and seem much more affordable as well.
