It's been two weeks since I got my OM's and I've only managed to shoot four rolls. After being unusually dry most of the year, October has been dreary and wet so between work and the weather I haven't been out much, but I love the cameras and lenses. The OM's are far more rangefinder like than any other SLR I've handled.
My wife is usually my first subject when trying out new gear:
Here are few from last Sunday, just walking around downtown:
I'll post a few color shots later.
Happy shooting everyone!

Love the cyclist photo!
Would be interested in camera settings and what lenses you were using.
At this end I'm struggling to reseal an Oly XA2 - wish I'd been out with my OM1n today - just back from a CLA.

Thanks Jesse. I wish I could tell you! I was shooting with two bodies and two lenses that day, the OM1 with a 28/2.8 and the OM2 with a 50/1.4, and believe that was with the 28 at around f/5.6 or f/8 with shutter speed around 1/30 or 1/15. It was overcast and the light was starting to get low. I wasn't ready at all, had my back to the cyclist when I caught him from the corner of my eye and just spun around in my tracks and pressed the shutter as I pivoted. There was no time to do anything else. Wish I could take more credit for it, but just got lucky!

BTW, the other two b&w were definitely with the 28, all on Ilford XP2 400. Now that I look at the cyclist again I think it may have been the 50. The color was definitely with the 50/1.4 using Kodak Portra 400 VC.

Thanks Helen! I just saw your bicycle pics in another thread. Very nice! You've inspired me to concentrate on bicycles tomorrow.
