Here are some shots from my goggled Sumamron 2.8 and M4. First roll with the camera. Have taken many more since this one, but this post was overdue after finally stepping into the realm of Leica ownership.

All on XP2.
Fun camera and lovely lens...but the search for nirvana is not over yet!

Lovely shots.
Where did you develop the XP2? Are such results achievable with 'drugstore' process and scan?
Thanks.

Excellent shots, loved the first three. These are what Leica shots should look like; long gradations, pleasant contrast, perfect sharpness corner to corner. Keep on shooting and sharing your photos.
Geee.. if these are from the first roll, what will come out of the next rolls!!
(Did you have your Summaron cleaned?)

Great shots. The 35mm summaron 2.8 is awesome! I bought mine a few years ago for about $400, and have had it recently CLA'd . It's gotta be one of the best lenses out there in terms of sharpness, and the build quality is amazing. If only I hadn't sold my M4 for other gear!!! Its nice to see this lens getting the hype it deserves. Unfortunately, prices are increasing because of this. Glad I got mine early on

All good. I really like the second one also. But the pattern on the last one is hypnotic! Great stuff.

Great shots. #1 is my favorite. I posted on flickr as well, but I love the composition that the kids form.

These may be your first shots with a Leica but clearly you've done this before. Great shots! The worker and trains in particular.

Sidenote: He says goggled Summaron on M4.. Do not mind to buy a goggled Summaron if you have an M2, M4, M5, M6 etc. i.e. an M-body with 0.72x finder; as it's much less expensive compared to the "goggleless" one but also on the .72 finder it has less visual distortion. Yes... I have three goggled and two "goggleless" Summarons and also a goggled Summicron 35 V1.. all exhibit less visual distortion and "stretch" on the M2, M4 finders than they do on the M3 finder..

Dallas, around the Fairgrounds complex. Was there on a business trip and was glad to have a camera with me. Is "Big Boy" the name of the engine? if so, that's an appropriate name. They are colossal!

I find the 35mm on the M$ too close to the edge of the VF. I prefer the breathing room of the 50mm frame lines, so the goggled version works well for me. Kinda cumbersome to lug around though.
