So I just developed and printed a photo from my first roll of Legacy 400. To try it out I bought 5 rolls on my last Freestyle order because of the price (of course) and the favourable opinions of many people on RFF. Is it my imagination or is the film base on this stuff awfully thin? I mainly use Ilford film which seems thicker. I had problems with negative popping using a glass less carrier that I don't normally have except with Delta 400. Both of these films dry quite flat which could contribute to the problem. Aside from that I liked the film and at that price I can cope with the popping issue. It seemed less contrasty than HP5 (which surprised me given that many people on RFF like contrast), possibly finer grain and as far as sharpness it was - well- sharp. Developed it in Xtol 1:1. Any comments? Its been years since I have used TriX. How does Legacy compare to that?
