Sigh. You guys keep posting nice photos using lenses that I'm trying to resist. FP4 certainly is a nice film. Well done.

Very nice for a first shot. Keeping fingers out of the frame and the horizon level is a challenge sometimes with the 25mm, but you've done a nice job here. Hope you enjoy the lens!

Thanks Joe, I really like this lens, taking it to Vegas next week for a real workout, I get the FP4 for $2.50 a roll at my local camera shop..can't complain about that..Joe Brugger said:Sigh. Thanks for a nice example. The contrast is good and the linear distortion is minimal. I have a Old Nikkor-N 24mm that exibits very low linear distortion. Was hoping the CV 25 did the same. It Does. I just traded a Camera and a few lens's for a CV 25/4. Looks like a great lens to have

Thanks Arbib, congrats on the new lens, I'm sure you'll have a great time learning the nuances of this lens, the best to you in '07' ..arbib said:Thanks for a nice example. Nice, Bill.
The CV 25/4 is one of my favorite lenses. I love the scale focus and bright VF. You'll make good use of the lens in Vegas; it excels at travel-type snapshots and cityscapes. I've attached a few tourist photos that I made with mine.
Enjoy your trip!

Hmm it might just be me but the sample photos that people are posting look soft. Was this a scan of a print or a scan of the negative?

Mine was scanned from the print, I know I need a better scanner, next on the list...

I had an early example of this lens, but could not get on with it - it didn't seem to matter what I did regarding filmstock or exposure, I just got flat results. Consequently, it is no longer with me. I would like to try the 21mm, but the bank manager says not at the moment!

RF's ROCK!andFilm RULES!!
Great portrait!
I went out yesterday for the first time with my 25, and only my second time ever with an RF.
I recently bought an r2A.

Bill: I used the CV 25/4 extensively during a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains last month. It is very light and small and makes a perfect travel lens.
If you shoot many photos quickly, make sure to check for the right focus distance. It is easy to forget to reset the distance or simply get lazy and estimate badly.
By the way, your shot is really nice. Congratulations. The B&W developing is wonderful.

Hey guys,
I'm thinking about getting one of these, but I have a dumb question...how do you figure out which aperture setting to use?
