The color pic was just a test shot after I set up my lights. Also gives you an idea of the folks I work with
shot with a CV 40mm MC, 1/125 @ F11, iso 200
I think I'm gonna love this little jewel! The menu is a little quirky being a nikon shooter, but I'm sure I can get good at it.
I think I might be inclined to get a good 90mm after this.

welcome-the RD-1 is a great camera I am sure you"ll have fun with it and great results!! Had mine almost a year and use 40mm(summicron) 90% of the time.Must admit tried my 90 elmar when I first got the RD-1 but havent used it since- bit long for me- maybe try it out again someday.Mostly I like compact lenses.

Have the 40 Nokton and just picked up the 75 Heliar which is a very fine piece IMO. On an R-D1 it will be the equivalent of a 115mm. Very reasonably priced as all the CV glass is and quite good optically as all the CV glass also is!

Welcome to the family. Soon, your Nikon menus will be the ones that seem odd

thanks guys, Tim, thank you for selling me the R-D1 before you listed it.... yes, I'm pretty excited about the rangefinder. Here are a few more pics, processed bia photoshop raw editor, custom IR preset.
This is going to skew the way I shoot, literally...but for the better of course...

Focus looks a little off on your color pic and off on your b&w pics. If you are pulling your hair out wondering why? I had similar issues where it front focused. So I haven't used my CV40mm SC for a while. I bought another 40mm MC one but same issues. It's not the body because my zeiss 21mm f/2.8, 50mm f/2 zeiss, and minolta 28mm rokkor all focus dead on. Even if I stop down the CV 40mm to f/2, focus seems off. Will probably sell them but too lazy right now.

na... that's called shallow focus
the times I notice things are out of focus it's cause of user error. I'm really liking the 40mm, find the 35mm lines are more accurate than the 50. Ah, lenses... what now, 75, 25, 15...
