Every once in a while (and more often than I like), I'll really mess up an image to the point that it looks like nothing can be saved. But with the advent of all the post-processing software available, that doesn't seem to be as much of a problem anymore.
So here is an example of getting something out of nothing, or the old "Lemonade from Lemons" analogy.

Okay, so I messed this one up by not holding the "Infinity" button on the camera. But I had an idea I could make something of it. This was at one time Roanoke's tallest building.

After applying a bit of sharpening to it in PSE8, I kind of like the results. Looks like one of those vintage postcard shots with the hand painted colors.
