do your job, then let go
Metz Mecablitz BC 20 6, nice small flash that fits in a bag easily. It is a discontinued model however.

I would expect practically any flash would work. I'd want something with the most adjustable manual power levels.

I use a Stroboframe 35mm Flipflash Bracket, to hold a Vivitar 283 for strobe, with my Bessa-L's and R's. I agree with what Stephen Gandy says on his site, the flash shoes on these cameras can be fairly easily damaged by the weight of anything but an inky, dinky flash. Even that could be a potential disaster.
So, might as well use a bracket, and a flash with some -poke-.

Check also the Contax G2 flash - TLA200. Not cheap, but leightweight and good one

On the alert
Vivitar 283 - but almost anything ruins the feel of the camera.

The Leica SF-20 (or the newer SF-24D) would be a good choice since it's designed to suit rangefinders without upsetting the handling. Nice flash too.
