I want to use a remote flash trigger with my RD1. I am currently using an Elinchrom wireless for my D3 which works perfectly. I use this system with small cheaper flashes on manual so I can 'spot' light using them. The system works well. However, I tried to useit with the RD1 and try as I might I cannot get ot to expose properly. It works fine when I attach the flash to the hotsho directly, but when I put it with the Elinchrom wireless trigger it does not. Has anybody come across this problem or know how to solve it? Is it a shuttter release problem not syncing? Can I change the shutter and flash sequence for example on the camera?
I have also used it in the past with an M8 and this worked too.
By the way it does work with a remote infrared trigger in my studio with the Elinchrom 400 strobes, and I havn't yet tried it on my american remote flash triggers
