Flickr - Photographer - Moaan

This guy on flickr who I came across tonight as I was searching on various topics, just is outstanding, with his Leica M7 / Noctilux 1.0/50, just pushes the limits of the amazing 50/F1.0. Every photo has a bio on what camera/lens and film, used. Yes Film!!

Truly amazing ! What a inspiration to get busy shooting film !!

Maybe it's just my perception, but it seems as if there's always been some friendly competition going on between moaan and Tommy Oshima on the flickr Noctilux group, although their styles are a little different, and I know they are friends...still, I like to think they push each other a little...fun to watch.

SteveM - I just looked at Tommy Oshima, and yeah a little different., but super cool!! The 50/F1.0 Noctilux is a sweet lens! I like the results.

I need to go and shoot film!

Man.. ya know... people always say (regardless of the brand of lens) "Why pay $$$$$ for a 1.0/1.2/1.4 when a 2.0 will do" - but the REASON one forks out the $$$$$ for a fast lens is to be able to shoot it at that aperture.

This guy is putting his money to work

Hey Dave, what is your percentage of shots using 'aperture priority'?

Who else do you like on Flickr? Maybe I should get a Zeiss 50 for my F3HP. I am now liking the 50 perspective.
