For Free: Balda Baldex

Ok, I'm still awake when I shouldn't be and just experianced a level of grace all too rare in this world (though not here at RFF). As a result, here's my offer...

I have a Balda Baldex 6x6 folder. It has the wonderful Balda film advance. It also has thier absolute lowest end lens and shutter combination - a Rigonar 75/4.5 triplet in a Vario shutter with B, 25, 75, & 200... 😱 It's also scale focused. If you approach this camera as a folding holga, you won't go too far wrong.

At least it has a scale. A Holga has idiot symbols and you have to make an educated guess at the difference in proximity between 'mountain' and 'human'.

For the truly intelligent newbies amongst us, a quandary arises if the humans you wish to take a picture of are further away than the mountain.

Oh and a Holga from the Lomographic Society will cost you twice as much as this excellent Balda or more. It also has a crappy lens.

Because I'm thinking of trying out medium format and this will open up a whole new world to me? Also because I plan to enter an art exhibition this autumn and would use this to make some artistic prints?

😱 3? With a 120 format folder? I presume you'd load it, set the hyperfocal and let her at it in the sun? With only 12 shots at a time? It's an interesting concept...
