For the fraction of the cost that the leica M digital camera (when it ever comes out ?) you could get this camera ....the ricoh GR-1
http://www.ricoh.com/r_dc/gr/gr_digital/index.html
im not too sure if its out right now but i think it is in japan cuss they are like lightyears ahead of us with technology and what-not but if i cant find one with the 21mm lens convertor i might just settle for a Olympus SP-500UZ and a SmartDisk FotoChute . Alex Majoli uses those cheap olympus camera's and they are way smaller and what not for street photography ...can't you tell im really indecisive with my camera purchases ?????? blah what do you think ?

shit man im gonna have to get back to you on that one ...so should i blow all my coin on this camera or should i get a cheap point and shoot like one with a leica lens ????? its just that the leica lenses that you might put on your leica M digital are made for film unless leica makes a digital only lens in the future ....so yeah id say use your M-mount lenses on your m-6 becasue the quality on digital will be crap .....(just my opinion)

its like a digital point and shoot but has fully manual modes and also has a bad ass fixed 28mm lens with a optional optical viewfinder which just makes the camera look baddass !!!

Well then by all means, get yourself two. One for each ass.

Hi, I'm Billy Goat Gruff! Are my services required in this discussion?

Boy wit' Lomo- you're amazing! Thanks for enlightening us on how to choose eqpt. Really, we couldn't do it without you! :bang:

so what do you guys think ?? should i get that camera or should i take it up the ass ???haha

Can't you do both? The whole point of photography is to be creative.

Hey, this is just a random thought that popped into my head and has absolutely nothing to do with this discussion or anything else, it's just a cool feature I discovered:

Did you know that if you click on the poster's name to the left of a post and choose "View Public Profile" from the menu that appears, you go to that user's profile page? Well, on it is a link that says "Add [user name] to your ignore list." And guess what -- if you click that link, then any posts from that user name become invisible to you!

I can't imagine what possible use this feature might be, but I think it's very cool...

good point maybe i should say f*** digital altogether and just buy a black zeiss ikon with 25mm lens ....but then i cant be awsome and 45 like Matlock .

Yes you should buy the Ikon. Or digital. Who cares? Pick what fits you best, not someone else. And don't try to convince others about their choices.

No, I think you should play to your strengths. Go digital and work on the vulgarian routine, it will take you places. You can be awsome like me, but first, you have to a) get old; b) get fat, c) go bald, d) find a dead-end job at the end of buttknuckle, NC, and e) learn how to spell 'awesome'.

This dazzling display of wit was brought to you by Yuengling beer and the letter "M."

Best Regards,

Bill Matlock (apparently)
