I want to correct the comments made about the Taylor Taylor & Hobson 50mm f2 Anastigmat Amotal screw mount lens made to fit the helicoid mount on the Foton camera. I have one of these lenses. The diameter is not ‘about 34mm’ and the screw thread is not an ‘oddball size’. It is 1.5 in in diameter (38.1mm) and I believe the thread size is 24 tpi. This was a standard specification for a British small format lens of the 1940s. Using a custom made adaptet, this lens can work well on the Leica M digital camera, with a helicoid as part of the setup.
