Honestly, I just went in to get some film. No, really. Unfortunately, I had to walk past the used camera counter to get to the film and saw this sweet little Minox 35 GL. Turns out the owner of the store knows the guy who brought it in to sell and vouched was in working condition when it came in a couple of weeks ago. I used the last gasp of juice in its PX27 battery to verify the meter moves and the shutter clicks, checked the lens, etc. What could I do but plunk down my plastic? I paid a bit more than the going rate on eBay, but it was worth paying more to get the chance to handle it and check it out first. Plus, it's just so much fun to fondle... 
I've attached a glamour shot for y'all.
Can't wait till the Minox alkaline battery adapter I ordered from Adorama arrives, although I won't be able to thoroughly check it out before I leave on my trip in any case. Although it's scale focus and not a rangefinder, it'll be fun to see how it compares against my Oly XA.
