Hi,

I'm Ramón, (Jorge Torralba’s cousin). I was fortunate enough to participate in Leica’s X Vario City Challenge in Miami this past Friday. The Challenge allowed me to capture 146 images with a loaner X Vario provided by Leica in a little over 3 hours throughout the Wynwood District of the city.

Wynwood is filled with some incredible graffiti art that is part of Miami’s annual Art Basel Show. It served as my backdrop on Friday. I thought the camera was solid and was very impressed with the images it produced. What I liked most about the camera was the optional flip-up viewfinder that allowed me to look down on the camera instead of straight on. Looking down at the camera helped me be a bit less afraid of getting closer to people on the street. I wish Fuji made a similar viewfinder for their X100, what I regularly shoot with. With approximately 45 minutes remaining before I had to return it, the camera shut down from a low battery. I think Leica timed the event perfectly. It would've been nice to have a 2nd battery, but I had so much fun that I never gave it a second thought. I could only pick one image as my Challenge entry. This was it.

Bumping to try to get more "likes". It's hard to get even your own Facebook friends to like my image. Last night I had 50 likes, 27 from friends and 23 more from people I didn't know. I'm messaging friends individually to help me advance to the next round of Leica's X Vario City Challenge by passing the word around. Because of my messaging Facebook temporarily blocked my accout this morning and now I can't even message friends. Last I checked I was approaching 100 likes but need hundreds more. There is less than 40 hours remaining in the challenge. I would really appreciate any help you can send my way. Huge thanks.

Ramón
