I am taking my F3, M4-P and X100S. Planning on concentrating on photographing people on the street and at the fireworks...

"Kaboom Town" in Addison, Texas, USA.
I took this with a 200mm Leitz Telyt with a custom Nikon F adapter.
(Which effectively becomes 300mm on my APS sensor Fuji S3)

I spent my 4th repairing the water main in the front yard. Been leaking since last winter but recently got worse so I decided today is the day I dig. All fixed, & the neighbor is bringing his tractor over to push the dirt in for me in the morning. This will give me rest of the day to go shooting & enjoy the weekend.

Dragged the 4x5 down to the Brooklyn Bridge. I set up at the base bellow the Bridge. The crowd soon figured out that most of the fireworks were obscured by buildings, so they all started moving away. I mostly got crowd shots, and the flow of people coming off the bridge after the show. And the massive police presence. I had fun. I'll see what comes out.

Brought the new Polaroid (SLR670m by Mint) and the iPad mini. Shot one pack of Impossible SX-70 Color and made 12 videos of fireworks at a friend's party.

All the Polaroid were made with flash. First four came out perfectly, second four a bit underexposed. I'm beginning to suspect that my flash unit has an intermittent issue—it flashed each time but it seemed to be either down on power or late relative to the shutter as I can see some influence of it in the photos. I suspect the flash as I get the same behavior in my other SX-70s ... It's a recent purchase, so I'll contact MiNT and see what they have to say about it.

The iPad mini did amazingly well on videos of the fireworks!

Nice fireworks. I'd like to see "Kaboom Town" next year. Never been there.

The Addison "Kaboom Town" has become such a big venue that you basically end up spending the whole evening trying to get in and close to midnight to get out of it.

Me, and other "wiser" people park our cars on an overhang about a mile away and break our own fireworks viewing party.

That's why I need a 300mm lens "reach."
