Hi Frank,
With the down time today and all the other things going on you seem to have slipped past 5000 posts without many noticing. May I be the first to congraulate you not only on the total but also on the quality of the those posts. I always look forward to reading them and only wish that I could post in the same way. You manage to say in 2 or 3 sentences what I can only manage to in 2 or 3 paragraphs.

May your glass always be more than half full!

Kim

For a second there, I thought this had something to do with FrankS' lower intestine.. but I was wrong 😉

Congrats Frank 🙂

Glad to hear that Frank, those GTA guys left me all alone crying into my fourth beer at the Rex last meeting. Geez, they only start tasting good after three! Nice to know I'll have some company next meeting.....

There's an expression in German that translates to: "There's no such thing as a man who's drunk too much, just a man who has not eaten enough." Those wacky Germans! 🙂 (I'm Canadian-German BTW.)

5000? I am impressed, humbled, awed, agape, speechless. Congratulations, and I particularly appreciate the pith and brevity of your posts, unlike mine, which tend to turn into mini-novelettes (as in this instance).

Your green series seven filter arrived today, thank you, and did you get the ones I sent? (Frank and I trade stuff - it's a cross-cultural thing).

You're lucky, just schizophrenic....Ukrainian-Sicilian-Canadian here (triphenic?)....don't know whether to have perohy, lasagna, or a burger for lunch.
We've got a big German delicatessen here in Hamilton named Denninger's that has these thick smoked pork chops (I think they're called kassler ripchen or something) that are pink, just like ham.....the lady there told me to simmer them in gingerale.......oh man, were they good....as close to heaven as you can get.
Hopefully I can drag the GTA RFF down here for that War of 1812 re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek. Good photos, food, suds and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik......

I can't believe it has taken this long.

What amazes me is how FrankG is catching up, and fast. Just imagine if he bought the Bessa R2S with the Heliar and got the CL repaired and kept it.

FrankS would have to buy more 50's to keep up...
