These fit all lenses made for 39mm screw filters that are made to accept 42mm clip-on hoods like the 12585.
Besides that size these also fit the 39mm Summitar filter size.
39mm filters are a little smaller, the caps do not work on them.
Free? Yes, these are milk bottle caps. Made of soft plastic in fashionable light blue. Instead of Leica they have an expiery date printed on the front. That will fool any thief!
So for postage only name how many you need. Please do not crowd me, I do need enough time to drink the milk first! 😀

I understand this is for Summicron's, but... Considering my Jupiter-8 (on a Zorki-4k) has a 40.5mm filter ring, and measures about 42mm on the outside diameter of the lens, would one of these fit do you think?

Thanks.

This just reminded me of a Billy Bragg lyric adapted, I think, from Shakespeare:

"I am the milkman of human kindness /
I will leave an extra pint..."

But in my case, just leave the cap! 😀

(Yeah, I'd like one, please)

Well with a little luck... The Summicron outside diameter is also about 42mm. The cap fits perfectly.

Weight of a lid is just a few grams, so shipping upto about 8 pieces is 65 eurocents within europe and 80 eurocents outside europe.
What is paypal's minimum amount and charge anyway? 😛

Holland is a milk-country. I doubt this brand is exported and sold over there. The cap has an 'ap' logo on it. PE stands for polyethylene.
Do try other condiment or bottle caps to fit any lens needing a cheap cap!

Paypal always charges €0,35. Cost would therefore be €1 (Europe) or €1,2 (rest) for any number upto 10.
My paypal address is laptoprob at zonnet dot nl.

Buttermilk will yield beautiful RED lenscaps and yoghurt LIME and GREEN. Just check at the supermarket. You will have to drink all of it, which may be a problem if this thing takes off. 😛

True Jaap, but my main consumption is the light blue variety. Sorry. Besides I don't like buttermilk so red will be not available through me!
All ordered caps will be rinsed to avoid allergic reactions by lenses to other than original caps.

Haha, just imagine what creamy bokeh the dark blue cap would produce, that is full fat! Light blue is semi skimmed. With this biological brand creamy enough for me.

I am drinking for Ronnie in Vienna the coming week.

cheers!

Been meaning to post this one my self sence I "discovered" it too.
Milk caps here (Michigan, USA) need a bit of fitting with a craft knife, but the price is right. You can make Leica/Nikon/Cannon/Contax decals on your printer with blank decal stock from your local hobby shop.
Had to do the shopping my self. The 2% milk the wife buys comes with a sickly pink cap.
