I've been using Google Image to view scans from both of these films. I appears that 800Z provides more resolution, better tonality but a more grainy/noisy image. Since equipment varies between images, I'm not so sure that this is a good approach.

For those that use both films, what are the differences in your scanned images between 400H and 800Z and what ISO do you use for each film?

Any film tests with variables controlled ( ie. same hardware )?

Not 100% sure these are both with the 135/4 Tele-Elmar, but 99% sure. Here is 400H then 800Z:

Not a terribly direct comparison, but hopefully a start. Full frame lab scans from LTI in NY, I'm not sure what scanner they're running. A little bit of PS work on these, but equivalent treatment.

I shoot the 400H at box speed and the 800Z at 640, but I shoot it with an M5, and this is to compensate for the lower responsiveness of the M5's meter in low light.
