Just rambling (no need for serious considerations)

This year at the River House (my home) we are having a Fuji Christmas!

Why? What? Who? I know...

I'm just excited to grab a Fuji X-E1 kit w/18-55 in boxes this Saturday, with the intent of gifting it to my wonderful girlfriend who has taken a strong interest in my cameras and more importantly taking photos.

She loves my old Leica Digilux 2 and I've had to hide that one away until we can order up some new batteries.

So far she has a small but solid collection of film cameras that yes she actually has been using regularly with the help of my silver stash.

The Classic Nikon EM (w/ 35-70 + 50Micro)
The Venerable Minolta Maxxum 7000 (w/ 50 +100-200)

She also wants a Leica of her own someday! (Is this Love?)

I own and love my Fuji X-T1, it's really everything I wanted after trying the Xpro multiple times over the past 2-3years.

I was thinking she might like the Faux Rangefinder style of the X-Pro, but after casually looking over the Fuji models, her preference was always the silver finish X-E1.

So I have just been sneaking around craigslist and Facebook the past couple weeks, when I found a nice kit for what I think is cheap (400$). Bummer it's a black body, but we can trade that in later.

So on my side, I'm excited to have a 18-55 in the house, and she can borrow the Touit, maybe we can start splitting lens costs!? I feel a 14 coming after the new year ;) Add to that I snagged up a SP-2 Instax Printer on cyber Monday :D

Wow, this is great! I share the photo passion with my wife, now she's happy with her D5100 and after some effort I had to do to convince her she now enjoys very much her prime lens 35/1,8 (50 eq) which I gave her last year for X'mas.
Have a nice time you both!

Good Stuff D.
I've package up an Xe1 for the 8th grade girl in our house.
She's pretty intent on learning to be an (the) "expert" photographer of the family.
I have to admit it's my favorite digital camera to date.
The XT1 is also in my bag but, I use an xe1 and xf35 most often.
Love being able to flip that little flash with my finger tip to bounce off the ceiling :)

Thanks guys! Merry Christmas Jeff!

Andy, we are gonna have some happy girls this year!

Coming from a rough breakup from a very long relationship, she has definitely inspired me to do more and be happy. The proof is in the pudding, have a new job I love, freshly painted house this fall and many home improvement plans panning out finally.

I'm in a jolly mood this season for good reason :)

Thanks for the kind comments guys!

Greg, Love the Instagram bud!
