Hello RF-community,

thanks to a repairshop my Fuji is now working again like a charm.

I wanted to try flash with the hotshoe (although I only wanted to test out a YONGNUO remote flash trigger.

1. There is a black pin in the hotshoe which blocks any flash/trigger to be fully mounted on the camera? Any uncomplicated way to mount things on this hotshoe? The manual says nothing about it.

2. Yongnuo does not seem to work with it. I don't know if the contacts from my canon-version are different than the fuji contacts but only the x-contact in the middle should be important. (??)
(Not having the right cable i didn't try the PC-connector on the front of the camera yet. Any experience?)

Thanks for your help.

cheers,

rauti

That hotshoe is positively missing the upper right screw and the spring insert (which is needed to to secure older/smaller flashes without a locking screw, and also goes over that pin allowing the flash to depress it). Was it in the same incomplete state when you gave it to the repair shop? Were they supposed to repair the flash shoe?

Hi sevo,

thanks for your reply. I couldn't remeber what the state was before I sent it in, the whole process took over a year....

But I called the repairshop and they will send me the missing part for free.

to be continued...

cheers
