I am just about ready to order the X-E1. I have a number of Leica M lenses and will want to get an adapter to use them on the Fuji.
I was looking at Fuji's compatibility chart, and it lists only three versions of the 35 Summicron. It indicates YES for versions 1 and 2, but NO for version 3. I have a 4th version that I bought in 1984 that I would like to be able to use.
Does anyone know with certainty whether the 4th version 35 Summicron will work with the Fuji adapter? If not, I would like go with another brand, such as Rayqual.
Thanks!
Ron

There is a sort of plastic "lens meter" in the Fuji Adapter box that allowed you to test your M lens rear element, in wide and height....
The list of compatibility lacks of many lenses but there are possibilities they work, as for my Summicron 50 V3, not listed but functional....
PS: many doubt on Jupiter-12....

Hi, the v4 aka " Bokeh King" works great with the fuji M adapter. I use it on my xpro1 all the time. My only tiny gripe with the adapter is that all my M lenses focus past infinity with that adapter. Not a deal breaker especially if you are planning on using the evf instead of zone focusing.

Thanks Kwesi! That's just what I wanted to hear.

My X-E1 just arrived from Amazon, along with the 35/1.4 and the Fuji M adapter.
Unfortunately, I have discovered that although my 35Summicron v4 mounts on the adapter, it cannot focus to infinity due to the shroud around the rear element.
I'm going to try out some of my other M lenses before I decide whether to return the adapter in favor of a Rayqual.

That seems odd. I just mounted mine to be sure and I have no problem focusing to infinity. I don't know if it makes any difference but I have a German v4 with ser#3440xxx

I just did a quick search and found no physical difference between the two.

Are you having any issues mounting your other M lenses?

Nope. Everything else seems to work. My collapsible 50 Summicron cannot fully collapse, but works. My 21/2.8, 50 rigid Summicron and v3 Summicron, 50/1.4 and 90/2.0 all work fine.
I just recently sold a 35 Summicron v1 that wasn't getting used much. I almost wish now that I had kept it.

Funny, I also had a V1 that I sold after I got the v4. Both worked with the adapter.
I just pulled out my plastic lens gauge to measure the v4 and there is plenty of room.
Your lens really should work.perhaps try a local camera shop to compare fuji adapters.
