fuji x100s or x-e1?

X100s because of the optical view finder and fast prime lens. With the zoom the XE-1 is just too much like an DSLR, which is what it basically is, though with a electronic rather then an optical viewing system for me.

Both, really - I'm using an NEX-7 right now (analogous to the X-E1) and still could put an X100s to use.

Although I think that the X-E1 is a great cam, I now would opt for the X100s - as long as you don't need exchangeable lenses.

I had the chance to take some shots with the X100s today and boy, that is an amazing cam!!

IMO if the X100s is a 40 definitely, I still think XE-1 is more versatile and when the long awaited fuji lenses like the 27 pancake is finally released, I foresee some X100s will be on the ads.

I would pick X100s or X-Pro1. The OVF is much of the reason that I shoot Fuji. If I were to shoot an EVF only camera, I'd likely shoot the NEX-6 and the upcoming Zeiss lenses, since, for most of my shooting, I'd prefer Bayer sensors over the X-trans in my X100s.

Personally, I am going to be very interested in the X-E1 successor with the improved AF ot the X100S. If you mainly do set work, landscapes and scenics the X-E1 AF should be fine.

I'm keeping the X100, I think the image quality of the bayer sensor is superior to the Xtrans in my XP1. I'm tired of fighting the blurs and smears. That said, the best RAF converter seems to be the one in the camera.
