Fuji X100S shutter sound

When I release the shutter there is no sound and sometimes I don't know whether or not I've taken the picture, especially when I'm shooting rapidly.

Is there somewhere in the menus a shutter sound? Doesn't have to be loud; don't want to startle anyone.

I think the set up menu has the Sound On/Off option. It's probably silent because it's in quiet mode. I like it this way, and can figure out the camera has shot because I see the photograph immediately after taking it when it appears in the VF.

Take care!

Rather than diving through the menus, just press (and hold) the DISP BACK button to turn on/off silent mode.

BTW, the shutter sound is selectable from three different sounds and volume is adjustable. That would all be accomplished in the MENU as mentioned.

Solares, good to hear from you! Yes, I am aware of the fleeting image in the OVF. However, sometimes I'm looking over the top plate to locate the next shot and there's just silence. So, I'll look in the setup menu and see if I can activate it (I might not like it, either).

Don't know if I mentioned this years ago, but I taught at Blackburn College downstate for 5 years. Actually started their photography department.
