my autofocus is broken.
I finally got a chance to run a roll through this fine camera, though admittedly, it wasn't as romantic as I thought it might be initially. Actually, it wasn't romantic at all. I had to run out and pick up a roll of TMAX, because in a fit of insanity, I decided I'd try to develop the roll in my Zorki myself, with twenty year old D76, Kodak Rapid Fixer, and Indicator Stop Bath. Thankfully, reason kicked in at the last second, and I decided I should see if the chemistry was even still good, so I popped out and picked up another roll of TMAX. Upon returning home, I needed a camera to expose it with. The only one without a roll of film in it?

Twenty four shots later, I found myself in the bathroom, fumbling in the dark, trying to load the roll into a reel. Not so long after, I had myself a nicely developed bit of film.
However, it wasn't perfect -- I haven't nailed concentrations exactly, my exposure was a bit off (shooting wide open at 1/60 indoors) and my timing and agitation could probably use some help. To top it all off, the scanner I'm using for the negs is just an Epson flatbed that seems very attracted to dust and lint and hair and things. The negs were kind of spotty, too -- I didn't really rinse them as well as I should have.
All in all, for a first roll, it wasn't so bad, though. And so, all rambling aside, I give you the whole TWO shots off the roll that I liked well enough to clean up!
