Fujifilm Neopan 400 and PRO 400 to be discontinued !

Pro 400 & Pro 400H are not the same.
Pro 400 had less subdued / more vivid colors than 400H, but was not exported to US.
Only saw it while I was in Asia.

Apparently it's an Asia-only film.

My guess is that 400H will be the last Fuji film to be discontinued, given how popular amongst wedding photographers. The 400H pastel look is very in right now.

I just wish Fuji would split off their film division and sell it to someone who cared enough to keep making it.

Not super breaking news, but still sad.
However, last time I was in a shop, I noticed the packaging for Acros changed--could that mean it's going strong still?

I talked with the Fuji tech guys awhile back. They said that Pro 400H was their best C41 professional film and that Fuji had decided to keep it alive while clearing out some of the slow sellers in C41.

The Fuji website shows 160NS and Pro 400H as the two professional C41 emulsions that they are currently producing. While that's not much in the way of choices, those two emulsions should cover most of the bases for C41 shooters.

Kodak's doing quite well, with recent restructuring. It's worth remembering its film division was the only profitable one in recent months.

fuji makes film too?

It is supposed to be Fujicosmetics.... ... and I doubt that this company is still producing any kind of films, more like selling off frozen stuff. When the stock is nearly gone then they announce the film as being discontinued ...
