I long searched for a Contax T3 to accompany my Mamiya 6 during the vacation in Spain, but did not get lucky. Shortly before departure I got to know of the existence of Fuji Silvi F2.8 - a small P&S camera with 25-50 / f/2.8-5.6 zoom lens (4 positions).

While it is a "true" P&S with very little manual adjustment, the most important ones are:
- ability to choose out of several flash modes
- set the focus to infinity

Keeping the flash in auto mode is mostly the best option. It balances with ambient light very well and provides very nice fill-in flash. At the same time the flash does not activate if the focus point is too far away.

I did not know what to expect from this camera. I got it from eBay for 40 euro from a collector who shot just a few rolls and kept it in a drover.

So - that much for words - now here come first images:

More photos will be coming soon (I am getting through the scans)

My first impressions - very little distortion, vignetting also very little. Sharpness - must check the slide shots, looks good enough ;)

If you have any questions just ask

"Quick shot" mode is another good feature - sets lens at widest and locks focus at some close distance (not so close as Self snap mode, though).
