Just wishing!

But why not ... they have a state of the art MF film camera in the 670 folder ... and seem determined to set the digital world alight with their latest hybrid offering!

PLEASE! :D

I'd *love* to replace my old Polaroid Sprintscan with something better, but affordable. Nothing available now fits that bill.

Spec wish list:

can scan 6cmx18cm
has at least the speed of the last nikon 5000 but when scanning MF film
can scan two strips of 35mm film at same time.
6000dpi non overlapped sensors.
quality of a drum scanner.

That'll do for now.

p.s. do you think they are listening?

How about a drum scanner at the price of a Epson 750? That I would buy.

why have a drum if a dedicated film scanner like a nikon can do as good a job without the hassle of drum mounting. Nah I want a simple to load very small footprint scanner like my Epson F3200 but with much better quality output.

My Minolta Scan Multi II just crapped out on me tonight. Nikon 9000 too expensive and I heard isn't supported by latest mac OS. Now would be a perfect time!
Sigh...time to check the reviews of the Epsons! :(

perhaps if we stick at it and get 600+ posts here, Fuji will actually build one .... (and double the price they were intending charging because of the frenzy?)

Ahh ... you've discovered my plan Stewart! :D

Get postng people! :p

I just bought a V700 for MF, very happy with it, although if Fujifilm came out with something notably better, I'd be persuaded to trade it in.

I actually could do with a proper MF scanner, lets fantasise .... 135, 120 and 5x4 would be nice, vertical film holder to keep the dust down ...

... Fujifilm's patent, Ionising Beam ® pre-scan dust remover and enhanced inferred cleaning

If it doesn't do 120 6x6 at a minimum, I can't justify it. Lack of an ability to scan is a bit part of the reason I haven't experimented with large format yet.

Dear Fuji.....please build a high quality reasonably priced film scanner........and thanks for making cool cameras.

cheers, michael

... roll-film 6mp draft scans, imported directly into iPhoto (or library of your choice) via dedicated software (that actually works) orientated and displayed on the monitor as a real-time slideshow ...
