For those seeing this problem, someone over at getdpi posted a fix based on converting to DNG then running thru LR4 w/ a plugin called flat field.

this could be very useful for fixing an otherwise good photo if it works, hopefully we have a LR user who can confirm.

I'm now travelling in Taiwan, so it's hard for me to test this, but I would really LOVE to have a workable fix for this issue. I shoot skyscapes regularly, and the magenta/green cast issue arises frequently with cloud formations. I've been using multiple passes of the color cast filter in Color Efex 4 to handle the problem so far, with mixed results.
If there is an LR plug in, I'm in!
