Gaf Memo 35EE ?

Howdy, I just snagged a Gaf Memo 35EE for the sum of $1.25. My question today is: is this a copy of the minolta HiMatic F? It certainly looks so. It appears to be a rebadged minolta. Anyone have info on this?

I love mine, though it does need new light seals....
I believe they were made by Chinon, post Konica C35.

I have the Chinon version - nice lens, small, pocketable. Works well as a visual notebook.
