Gallery Picks is an opportunity for you to post a heads up to what you have seen during the past seven days at RFF that you like.
There's no membership requirement, no criteria (except past seven days), no voting, no limit to the number of photos mentioned, and everybody mentioned is a winner.
Anybody can start the thread on a Monday.
Anybody can join in, it's a community event!
And without further ado here are my picks:
brainwood: Great catch, great moment. Do tell, did he have the motor running?
Two from Mlehrman:
Just great.
One of the most unique and best subway shots I've seen in a long time. I'ts got it all, content, composition, and tones.
Melancholy: It's a shot where the sum is way greater than it's many parts. The tilted back wheels, bent handle bars, the otherwise newness of the trike, course wet foreground (how wet and dirty did your knees get?), and it's isolation from the houses faraway in the background.
ferider: Well seen, great timing.
Tuna: I like everything about this, all the familiar photographic components, lines, tones, composition, graphic elements, and especially that cloud that looks like a clown face.
lynnb: A unique wave shape and the colors are a strong complement to it.
direwolf101: Ha! How could you not like this! An original idea, perspective, and well executed.

Incredibly well done, the position of the subject and the leading curved lines and grain! Incredible.

Surprised you sharp eyed guys haven't picked this one yet. Love the super-highlight on the hair and the shadows of the fence criss-crossing with the tile work which really add to the event.
