Beautiful color and composition.

How inviting it looks to dive into that cool shaded alley and explore the maze within, a bit like Alice looking down the rabbit hole. I liked the way a gap opens in the picture plane, showing the depths to be explored within.

Robert's photo lands us in the middle of the action, the theatrical lighting - and framing provided by both tree and audience - suggesting a performance, with the subject centre stage.

Randy's series of the thunderstorm was quite spectacular. My favourite showed the lightning appearing as the wings of a giant bat, hovering malevolently over the church.

Steve's shot of the three gents waiting in an otherwise deserted theatre is full of humour and pathos.

I liked both of Mcary's nudes. I preferred this shot in the grain field for its tighter composition and use of metaphor. I also liked the play of shadows on the model's body.

Stuart's portrait of Emma's direct gaze makes a strong connection with the viewer.

I felt one could almost cut the air with a knife in Stefan's photo of two people in an intense emotional moment at the cafe Nero - an appropriate name given the mood, which appears equally dark.

I enjoy Richard's keen observations on the street. I liked the contrast between the character in the foreground and the determined young man bearing down on him.

I like Luigi's use of colour, and the composition built around simple shapes that seem oddly dumped together in an otherwise empty, nondescript landscape.
