Gallery picks for week ending Monday 30 April 2007

Here's mine, could have been twice as long a list with ease...

Todd Hanz Poppies
I don't normally take to field & flower photos. Generally because they are all much of a muchness (to me). This made me change my mind!

Girmantas Tread
It's like a cover for Raymond Chandler or the still from a noir classic.

Marc Jutras Cassiopée
Another great set of shots.

mrtoml still life - pears
The whole series is great, feels very painterly (hope that makes sense).

OscarGarrido Mussolini
One of many that I could have picked from Oscar.

Our Man in Tangier Lunch
Put a huge smile on my face but is also perfectly shot.

Thanks to those for the mention. Yet again I need to make the effort with this thread - I failed to put things in my favourites again!!I'll post some of my faves this week later but suffice to say, as always, I'm bound to miss out some great shots so well done to all who've posted.PS - My new scanner is coming at the end of next week so hopefully I'll be in a position to post more regularly again - hurrah!! ( I can't tell you how much I've missed it)

Thank you for the mention of the two little kids in their band uniforms. They march again (May Day) in 20 minutes and I'm just out to photograph there again. Light here is good today.
